Possessing the power of elegance and chaos, Water’s unshakeable properties
make it a force few members of humanity dare to reckon with, but when
they do, with a courteous manner, it emerges as a surprisingly gentle
delight. With the potential to encapture, lull, spark creativity, nourish
and sustain life, we are dependent on these molecules to make our
existence on Earth possible. It is this very possibility that keeps entire
civilisations afloat, that has connected people with varying cultures and
religions for millennia, justifying the notion that water knows no bounds
or distance. It is a source for good, providing food, medicine, pleasure
and leisure. Covering a substantial portion of the Earth’s surface, it’s
no wonder we feel an inherent desire to be near it, whether to reap its
therapeutic health benefits or absorb the feelings of utter romanticism
and charm that it emanates.
